Our Services

Specialized services and care for survivors of family violence

Getting out of an abusive relationship and rebuilding your life requires a holistic approach. We provide our clients with a variety of services and compassionate, trauma-informed care.

Welcome to Haven House.

Safe, Confidential Shelter

Haven House is our 30-day emergency shelter which can house 40 to 50 residents. It provides for both privacy and socialization, with trained staff available to help guide residents through the process of finding legal protection and moving to safer permanent housing.

Adults who come to the shelter alone are housed in a double room and share a community bathroom facility, similar to a college dormitory. Adults with children are housed in an individual family room with a private bath. There are six double rooms and nine family rooms.

Haven House has a playroom for younger children, a lounge for teens, a community living room, and a large, modern kitchen with several cooking areas. There are also two spacious laundry rooms for residents to use.

Case Management

Whether you’re living in shelter or seeking help while staying home, we work with our clients to develop short and long-term goals to remain safe. Residential clients meet weekly with our Case Management Staff.

Common topics discussed during Case Management sessions:

  • Issues involving safety

  • Affordable housing

  • Employment concerns

  • Prescription needs

From filing Temporary Protection Orders to navigating the state’s complex judicial system, we assist our clients so they can gain legal protection.

Legal Advocacy

Trauma-informed Counseling

We partner with a local counseling provider to offer licensed therapeutic services to victims in our program.

When children are raised in a violent home, they often experience nightmares, struggle in school, and can appear to be worried or fearful. Our child advocate is dedicated to showing younger survivors that they are safe and supported.
